Dear Families of our K-5 Students,
Welcome to another new and VERY different school year! Returning to school this fall poses many new challenges for our students and staff. The purpose of this COVID-19 Amendment to our 2020-21 Student and Faculty Handbook is to explain some of the changes you can expect for you and your child’s school experience this year.
One of the most important things you can do at home to help us reduce risk and allow us to have students in school to maximize their learning, is to please monitor your child(ren) closely for COVID-19 symptoms. This includes taking daily temperatures in the morning before school. People with COVID-19 have had a wide range of symptoms reported--ranging from mild symptoms to severe illness. Symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure to the coronavirus. People with these symptoms may have COVID-19:
Fever or chills
Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
Muscle or body aches
New loss of taste or smell
Congestion or runny nose
Nausea or vomiting
Please know, we continue to follow the guidance of our state officials and local health department closely to ensure a safe and healthy return to school for your child(ren) and have put all recommended provisions in place. We know how important in-person instruction is for our students and, with your help, we will do our best to provide a safe, healthy learning environment for your child(ren) to grow in their learning.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue to navigate through these uncertain times in the re-opening of our doors. We are truly in this together!

Mrs. Jill Weimer, 3-5 Principal
