Urbana City Schools recently welcomed its newest educators during New Teacher Orientation as preparations continue for the 2026-2027 school year. New teachers learned about district initiatives, instructional expectations, technology, student support services, and the resources available to help them succeed in their classrooms while connecting with administrators and fellow educators.

This year's new teachers include Paige Barnes, 8th Grade Math; Kate Fitzgerald, 7th Grade Math; Mikayla Hower, Intervention Specialist; Mary King, 5th Grade; and Meghan Wolf, Intervention Specialist. Urbana City Schools is excited to welcome these outstanding educators to the Hillclimber family and looks forward to the positive impact they will make in the lives of students throughout the upcoming school year.
