Urbana City Schools was honored to welcome members of VFW Post 5451 on Friday evening as part of the evening’s Honor Guard ceremony. Their presence provided an opportunity for our school community to recognize and thank local veterans for their service and commitment to our country.

Raising the American flag were Gary Huffman, Chuck Huffman, and Carl Angles. Presenting the colors were Bill Cromwell, Bob Hemmerly, and Craig Bennett. The members of VFW Post 5451 helped make the evening’s ceremony a meaningful reminder of the service and sacrifice of our veterans.
