Art

Eighth grade students in Mrs. Parker-Vogtsberger’s art class are exploring complex color, proportion, and depth through painting. Using a grid system to scale their images, students are learning how to transfer a larger image onto their artwork while maintaining accurate proportions and details.

As they work, students are focusing on one section of the larger picture at a time, paying close attention to color, shading, and the details that bring their paintings to life. This approach helps them understand how individual sections contribute to the overall composition while developing techniques to create depth and dimension.

Through this hands on project, students are strengthening their observation skills, building confidence with painting techniques, and discovering how careful attention to detail can transform a two dimensional image into a more realistic and visually engaging work of art.
