On September 23rd, the Urbana FFA chapter took students to attend the 64th Farm Science Review at the Molly Caren Ag Center in London, Ohio. Students were given a ‘passport’ that led them throughout various exhibits to earn stamps. This passport required them to visit different parts of the event and interact with different companies, educational displays, interactive exhibits and industry professionals.
Students toured through the conservation area where they learned about the different species of wildlife and many agriscience facts; one specifically being about the native Paw Paw tree. The passport also required the students to speak with OSU alumni and students who specialized in agriculture.
Students also attended the career fair to look into the various agriculture industry careers, internships and training opportunities available. A day visiting was surely not enough to visit the over 40 acres of educational exhibit area but regardless students left with a vast knowledge of technology, equipment and careers in the robust Ag Industry across the U.S.
